Garden update
Our Station Rd garden has finally been installed and planted up! (Photos to follow) Broxton and Moruzzi Landscaping removed a layer of tarmac from the site, and installed the paving & community noticeboard. LN volunteers painstakingly dug over the ground (with a mattock!) and LNRA imported topsoil to improve what was on the site. The plants have been funded by a donation from the Co-op Cymru/Wales. However, if residents have plants they would like to donate, please get in touch. There is plenty of space to fill, and we are also planning on planting up our second garden opposite the old Cow and Snuffer's, so additional plants would be gratefully received! During the recent hot weather, the staff at the Golden Lotus have been supplying us with water for the garden. We'd like to thank them for their support. The security fencing will remain on site until the plants have rooted in. Later in the summer, we will be holding an official opening. Posted 12th June 2013 Due to Broxton and Moruzzi being busy, the installation has been delayed. Hopefully it won't be too much longer... Posted 8th Oct 2012 We are very grateful to Broxton and Moruzzi Landscapes who will be installing the garden for us for free! We have had a site meeting with them, and the project will go ahead when they get a space in their busy summer schedule - obviously paid work comes first! In the mean time, if you have any plants for the garden, please get in touch. Posted 2nd July 2012 LNRA/Cardiff council show garden awarded a silver medal!
